Gynostemma extract is derived from the leaves of the Gynostemma pentaphyllum plant, also known as jiaogulan. This herb is native to Southeast Asia and has been used in traditional medicine for centuries, particularly in China.

Active Ingredient: Gypenosides, Gynostemma Extract (Gypenosides) is a saponin extract derived from the Gynostemma Pentaphyllum. Jiaogulan contains a large number of saponins known as Gypenosides. The structure of the Gypenosides is very similar to the panaxosides (also known as ginsenosides) found in ginseng. There are 3-4 times as many saponins in Jiaogulan as in ginseng.
